01 — Who we are

Specialists in water — and only water.

Delta Engineering is a water-engineering practice. Hydraulic, hydrologic and flood work is all we do — not a sideline to a general civil team, but the whole of our craft.

Every study we hand over rests on a model we can defend: calibrated against real gauged flows, stress-tested across return periods, and documented so a reviewing authority can trace each number back to the rainfall that produced it. We work with municipalities, developers and consultancies — from a single culvert check to basin-wide flood-risk mapping.

Every study starts with the section.

Before a single equation, we read the channel — its floodplains, its banks, the low-flow thalweg, and the water levels reached at each return period. This is how we see a river.

02 — What we do

Four disciplines, one continuous water model.

Rainfall becomes runoff, runoff becomes flow, flow becomes flood. We work the whole chain — so the numbers in the flood map trace back to the storm that made them.

03 — How we work

Every study runs the same four stages.

A sequence, not a menu — each stage feeds the next, and the model stays traceable from field measurement to final map.

STAGE 01

Survey & data

Topographic and bathymetric survey, control networks, plus gauge and rainfall records to anchor the model in real ground.

STAGE 02

Build & calibrate

Construct coupled hydrologic and 1D/2D hydraulic models, then calibrate against observed floods and gauged discharge.

STAGE 03

Analyse scenarios

Run design storms and return periods, test sensitivity and climate factors, and quantify uncertainty in the results.

STAGE 04

Report & permit

Deliver maps, profiles and a signed technical report to the standard the reviewing authority requires.
